Hi Martin,
I did not realize that. I also removed the prepackaged APR and PCRE libs in
the FreeBSD port I made earlier (
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=121259).
Are there other of such modifications in the foreign directory that I should
know about? pcre? minizip?
How bad is this on Mac OS X (which does not have epoll.h) and FreeBSD?
I read this in the readme in the foreign directory:
"Added buffered read support to APR, at present only for systems where
apr_pollset_poll () uses poll (). This includes older versions of Solaris
and Linux 2.4 kernels. Buffer size defaults to 8k, may be customized by
setting the APR_SOCKET_BUFFER_SIZE environment variable. If set to 0,
buffering will be turned off."
Do you think that your apr-patches are still needed on Mac OS X and/or
FreeBSD?
