Why not just get a timestamp, send a message, respond to the message,
get the timestamp again and divide by 2?

Subject: [openamq-dev] Testing Throughput Vs Latency

Hi,

I saw your document describing how to test the through put of the
AMQ server. Is there any way of testing the network latency between
clients and AMQ server ?
