Thanks Martin,
I thinks Pieter mentioned that he had some Java clients that he would
make available in a couple of days anyway.
FYI - This version (OpenAMQ 1.2c1) did compile much better on my Fedora
7 test platform. Couldn't get the OpenAMQ 1.2c0 release to compile,
ended up using Ubuntu.

Carl,
The answer is no. The problem with RabbitMQ client is that it implements
0.8 version of the protocol, whereas OpenAMQ server implements 0.9
version of the protocol. I've spoke about this with RabbitMQ guys on
Friday and they've said they'll have a look at the issue.
As for the new release, it contains some minor fixes for compliance with
0.9 standard. As OpenAMQ is the only 0.9 implementation around AFAIK,
it's a bit difficult to find interop problems with it :) Anyway, the
fixes are needed for seamless cooperation with AMQP packet sniffer to be
released tomorrow.
