Yes, that's the reason we like it.  Overall reliability comes from
simplicity.  I'm going to send you - offlist - a for-internal-use-only
presentation that explains this in more detail.

The main reason we believe in the end-to-end approach is that it's
actually been demonstrated to work in a very large application
handling significant transactions (one does not want to be responsible
for lost trades).
